V. Turgay ATEŞ, Dr., Part-time Inst. (1948-2016)
Received bachelors degree in 1973 and master's degree in 1978 from the Department of City and Regional Planning at Middle East Technical University. His master's thesis is on policy proposals for Batıkent (Ankara) Planning Project. Specialized on landscape architecture. In 1985, earned PhD from the Department of Landscape Architecture at University of Ankara. Worked as a part-time instructor at METU, Department of City and Regional Planning for long years. Worked at Directorate of Bank of Provinces, Master Planning Office and the Municipality of Ankara. Taught courses in the Department of Lanscape Planning at University of Ankara. In 1986, established Vista Urban Design and Landscape Architecture Bureau. Received awards from numerous national and international urban design and ladscape design and planning competions.His PhD thesis is on the eminence of the hydrolic system between Mogan Lake and Akköprü, in the planning of Ankara's green areas system. This study comprises comprehensive analyses and designs related to Eymir Lake and environs.
