Original plans, maps, drawings, and documents preserved in the archive of the Map and Plan Documentation Unit are shared with the public through exhibitions that present key periods in planning history. These exhibitions aim to make Türkiye's planning heritage visible and to highlight its academic and societal significance.

100th Anniversary of the Capital Ankara Planning Exhibition

Organized within the scope of the centennial of the Republic, this exhibition featured original plans and maps documenting the planning history of Ankara. It contributed to a deeper understanding of the spatial development of the capital.

Prepared in collaboration with TED University Faculty of Architecture, Çankaya Municipality, and Goethe-Institut Ankara, this exhibition was based on archival materials including the plans and original drawings of Hermann Jansen. It brought to the public important documents illuminating the modern planning process of Ankara.
The exhibition was also presented earlier in 2018 at the Contemporary Arts Center. Within the scope of the International Jansen and Ankara Symposium, original hand-drawn sketches, plans, and design studies of Hermann Jansen, compiled from the archive of the Department of City and Regional Planning at ODTÜ, were presented alongside selected city plan examples accessed from the architectural archives of Technical University of Berlin.

Gönül Tankut 10th Anniversary Commemoration Exhibition
