Program Educational Objectives

The graduates of the Department of City and Regional Planning in METU,

• carry out their profession with the knowledge of their responsibility to the community, prioritising the concept of public interest, and with the utmost commitment to professional ethics,
• stand out with their leadership skills and their ability to carry out planning and design studies individually and as a team member,
• in addition to their capacity of analytical thinking and synthesis, they also demonstrate a critical approach in addressing developments and phenomena in the field of planning,
• with their ability to follow both national and international literature in Turkish and in English, they can carry out professional and academic studies in both languages,
• having acquired the skills of life-long learning and competency in process design and management, the graduates of the Department of City and Regional Planning in METU work as directors and managers in the public sector, and as employers in the private sector.
