Topic: COP31 UN Climate Summit Antalya: Process, Preparations, and Expectations

Within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its institutional structure, the content of global climate governance will be discussed through the evolution of climate diplomacy, as well as key milestones such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, and the COP processes. Turkey's climate policies will be evaluated in the context of its nationally determined contribution, green transformation goals, and sustainable development approach. In addition, Turkey's process of hosting COP meetings, the diplomatic initiatives undertaken, and its role within the scope of the COP31 Presidency will be presented comprehensively. The vision and priorities of COP31 will be addressed from a multi-stakeholder coordination perspective, focusing on climate finance, the increasing role of cities, and adaptation and mitigation policies. Organizational and logistical preparations will also be covered in the presentation.
