İlhan Tekeli Thesis Awards, organized by the İlhan Tekeli Urbanism Culture Foundation (İlhan Tekeli Şehircilik Kültürü Vakfı - İTŞKV), were presented to their recipients at the events held on 19 December 2025, this year with the support of the Union of Marmara Municipalities.

The doctoral dissertation titled "The Role of Social Capital in the Production of Tourism Spaces: An Examination of Public Beaches in Antalya," prepared by Dr. Eda Uçak Taşkıran, as a PhD graduate of our department, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nil Uzun, is awarded the 2024 İlhan Tekeli Doctoral Encouragement Award.

The master's thesis titled "Socio-Spatial Vulnerability Factors Against Energy Poverty," prepared by Elif Korkmaz, as a student in our joint Master's Program in Earth System Sciences, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Şenyel Kürkçüoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şiir Kılkış, is awarded the 2024 İlhan Tekeli Master's Encouragement Award.
