The 33rd Urban Design Symposium was held in Istanbul between 13-15 May 2026 through the collaboration of METU Department of City and Regional Planning, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Department of City and Regional Planning, and the Chamber of City Planners.

As part of the symposium, our faculty members Müge Akkar Ercan, Olgu Çalışkan, Duygu Cihanger Ribeiro, and Selen Karadoğan took part in various sessions. Duygu Cihanger Ribeiro also contributed as a speaker in the Chamber of City Planners Special Session and the Closing Session.

On the third day of the program, Müge Akkar Ercan and Olgu Çalışkan also participated in the Closing Session.
