The "Neighborhoods for Transformative Action" roundtable will take place on Friday, July 11, from 11:00 to 12:30, as part of the 37th AESOP (Association of European Schools of Planning) Annual Congress, hosted by Yıldız Technical University in İstanbul between 7–11 July 2025.

The session is organized by Prof. Dr. Serap Kayasü, Prof. Dr. Burcu Halide Çıngı Özüduru, Dr. Deniz Altay Kaya, Dr. Sıla Ceren Varış Husar, and Res. Asst. Deniz Can, and brings together insights from Türkiye, Albania, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, and Norway. The discussion will focus on repositioning the role of neighborhoods in spatial planning, from passive recipients of policy to active agents in transformative planning processes.
