The Influence of METU on Planning

Founded in 1961 as the first academic unit of its kind in Türkiye, the Department of City and Regional Planning at Middle East Technical University has continued to play a leading role in urban and metropolitan planning, regional policy, and urban design since the launch of its undergraduate program in 1962. Following 65 years of experience, all academics, alumni, and students are invited to this event series, where we will come together with our faculty members who have long been part of the professional education program, to reflect on the evolving impact of the department's curriculum on planning practice, as well as transformations in the understanding of planning and teaching approaches.
