AESOP 2012

AESOP 2012

The 26th Annual Congress of AESOP (Association of European Schools of Planning), being organised by the METU Department of City and Regional Planning, will be held in METU, Ankara on July 11–15, 2012.

The main theme of the Congress is “Planning to Achieve/Planning to Avoid: The Need for New Discourses and Practices in Spatial Development and Planning”. We are pleased to announce the participation of Professor Patsy Healey, Professor Neil Brenner and Helena Molin-Valdes, who will honour the congress with keynote speeches.

As 2012 also marks the 25th Anniversary of AESOP, it is our aim to celebrate the Silver Jubilee with a number of activities, including a special plenary session on the past 25 years and future of AESOP.

We invite you to submit your abstract proposals, and hope to see you in Ankara in 2012.

The deadline for abstract submission is January 15, 2012.
